NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday released the party manifesto for upcoming Delhi assembly elections with a major focus on women, poor and old-aged individuals. The “Sankalp Patra” promises free gas cylinder on Holi and Diwali, Rs 21,000 for pregnant women and an increase in pension for those between 60 to 70 years of age by Rs 500.
The party said that all the existing welfare schemes would continue, however, it added that an investigation would be launched into the corruption charges in the public welfare schemes if it comes to power.

“All the public welfare schemes running in Delhi will continue even if the BJP government is formed. All those schemes will be strengthened in a more effective way and they will also be made free from corruption,” BJP national president JP Nadda said while launching the manifesto.
“Their (AAP’s) mohalla clinic is a den of corruption and a programme to hoodwink people. Fraud lab tests have been conducted in his mohalla clinic and a scam of Rs 300 crore has taken place. When our government comes, all these will be thoroughly investigated,” he added.
Delhi is set to go to polls on February 5 and the votes would be counted on February 8.
