Jill Biden reveals how disappointed she is with Nancy Pelosi: 'We were friends for 50 years'
Jill Biden said she’s very disappointed with Nancy Pelosi

Outgoing First Lady Jill Biden at the conclusion of her husband’s presidency has become reflective about human nature, she said in an interview with Washington Post. She said she was disappointed with how it unfolded, it being how Joe Biden had to opt out of the presidential race. Nancy Pelosi was one of the forces behind Biden opting out of the race in favour of Kamala Harris. “We were friends for 50 years. It was disappointing,” she said.
It’s not known whether Pelosi and Joe Biden have spoken since July when Pelosi ‘forced’ him to step aside from the race though Pelosi officially maintained that she did not exert any pressure. “It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short,” Pelosi said on MSNBC in July.
Pelosi privately told President Biden in July that polling showed he could not defeat Trump and could upend Democrats’ chances of winning the House in November if he remained in the race. Biden was seething at Pelosi at that time. Even now Biden said he could have fought the election against Trump and won.
After Trump’s victory in November, Pelosi placed the blame for the Democrats’ loss on Biden. “Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” the California Democrat said during an interview with a New York Times podcast.
Jill Biden said like Joe Biden she still believes that he could have served another four years. “Sure,” she said “I mean, today, I think he has a full schedule. He started early with interviews and briefings, and it just keeps going.”

Jill Biden and Donald Trump were seen conversing with each other. Revealing what they said, Jill Biden said Trump told her that he had a good meeting with Joe Biden. “Yes, because you’re both talkers,” Jill Biden told Trump.
The First Lady said she and Joe Biden would continue to engage with Trump. “Joe and I respect our institutions, our traditions. It’s very important to me that they continue. What would be the point of nastiness?” she said.
