'Built after centuries of sacrifice': PM Modi greets nation on first Ram Mandir consecration anniversary

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended his greeting on the first anniversary of the Ram Mandir consecration in Ayodhya.
In a social media post on X, PM Modi said that the Ram temple, built after centuries of penance and struggle, is a great heritage of country’s culture and spirituality.
“Best wishes to all the countrymen on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality,” PM Modi said.

“I am confident that this divine and magnificent Ram temple will become a great inspiration in the accomplishment of the resolution of a developed India,” he added.
Meanwhile, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and district administration are making elaborate arrangements for the first anniversary celebrations, which mark a year since Ram Lalla was permanently seated inside the Ram temple. The celebrations will continue until Jan 13.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the celebrations and perform the ‘abhishek’ (religious ritual).
The specially crafted ‘pitambari’ costume for Ram Lalla, bearing intricate gold and silver thread work, will be prepared by a team of designers from Delhi. Office bearers of the trust confirmed that the special costume would arrive at the temple on Friday.
The main ceremony will begin on Saturday, where Ram Lalla will be anointed with ‘Panchamrit’ and sacred water from the Saryu, a procedure followed during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony last year.
