Shark Tank India 4: Anupam Mittal and Ritesh Agarwal's recent tweet banter makes netizens call it an 'unexpected collab of the year'

Anupam Mittal, Ritesh Agarwal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, and Vineeta Singh have returned to the Shark Tank India 4 panel, along with Kunal Bahl. The show premiered on January 6. Recently, we observed a spirited Twitter exchange between two fan-favourite Sharks, Mittal and Agarwal, as they discussed prospective collaboration.
A few days ago, Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com, tweeted, “Ab toh @ShaadiDotCom par ‘OYO’ discount code banta hai. What say, @riteshagar?” This was the entrepreneur’s reply to OYO’s amended restrictions, which prohibited unmarried couples from staying in its Meerut hotels.
Ritesh Agarwal, CEO of OYO Rooms, agreed with Mittal’s offer, saying, “Great suggestion @AnupamMittal. Anything that promotes having a Jeevansaathi!”
This spawned the idea of a collaboration between Shaadi.com and OYO rooms. Mittal also responded to netizens in the comments section. He also suggested that they implement a lottery system in which couples who met on the matrimonial site receive a complimentary stay at one of the brand’s top locations.
Some users made humorous comments about the tweet exchange. A single remark reads: “We got Shaadi.com and OYO collaboration before GTA6, unexpected collab of the year.” Someone posted, “This shows the power of collaboration, industry leaders leading this inspires the ecosystem.” “You both should start a honeymoon package,” another said.

In the recent episode of Shark Tank India, Chef Gauri pitched Confect’s international expansion, sharing her journey of building the brand and creating 800 SKUs. Despite her success in international markets, the sharks questioned her understanding of the Indian market, her competition awareness, and her extensive product range. Gauri struggled to address their concerns, leading Anupam and Peyush to opt-out, criticizing her indecisiveness and business model. Namita, however, offered ₹1 crore for 2% equity and a 2% royalty until recovery, which Gauri accepted. Post-deal, Gauri expressed frustration over unnecessary criticism, asserting her approach and countering Peyush’s remarks about product diversity. She felt the other sharks lacked expertise.
